With December 21, 2012 marking the end of a world cycle, I choose to look at this occasion through the lens of optimism. I think the beginning of this new cycle should be motivated by peace and love and a desire to integrate ourselves with the planet’s natural rhythms. Our awareness is now, more than ever, focused on our planet as a whole.
When motivated by peace and love, our actions create positive change for us and our home. The dove is a symbol of peace, and the rose is a symbol of love.
To celebrate these themes, I would like to share what these two can heal in us, when given in Homeopathic form. The remedy made from the rose (Rosa Gallica) treats many things, and so I will just focus on the general state. – A patient who could benefit from this remedy would feel best in the open air. – They may complain of feeling pain in small spots, as if being bitten by fleas. – They would have an overall sense of heaviness. Female patients, during menses, would feel as if they can not move. – For these patients, old wounds heal slowly, and they can still feel the pain from old wounds. – A quote from Homeopath, Nancy Herrick, P.A., describes the mental state of the Rose patient: “From time immemorial, the Rose has drawn us to it, perhaps because its fragility, beauty, thorniness, and transitory nature mirrors the experience of life itself. In the Rose [patient], all the movements of the heart: loss, grief, rebelliousness, independence, compassion, danger, passivity, and love come to the fore.”
About the remedy made from the dove (aka Columba Palumbus, made from the micro dilution of dove feather) – This remedy will be of use to people who have an extraordinary willingness to help. They are naïve and quiet, and so are prone to being taken advantage of. Even when they are the victim of abuse, they console their aggressor, and so encourage the aggressor to further aggression. Emotional suppression is a strong theme in these cases; patients don’t even know they are suppressing. Their emotional suppression is expressed through physical pains which are “cutting, piercing, sharp, penetrating”. These patients will typically have pain in the urinary tract, and/or pains in their head. The head pain causes severe nausea with vomiting and dizziness. Homeopath, Peter Fraser, has written, “The Dove has been a symbol of peace since Biblical times… when a symbol becomes an image it loses its power… this describes the issues in the Dove [patient].”
If you are experiencing physical or emotional pain, I will help you to gain inner peace, to find strength in that peace, and to love life again. Taking a Homeopathic remedy helps you to find your center again, both physically and emotionally.
